Angela Hayes, MS, LMFT, Master Certified Life Coach

I love my job. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would still get up and go to work, that’s how much I love it. I get to know and work with the most amazing people. I get to hear their stories of striving, surviving, and overcoming and sometimes I get to be a part of that story.

Coaching and Counseling are my passion…

I am a master certified life coach and licensed marriage and family therapist with years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples to meet their goals. I have been working as a life coach with individuals and couples since 2014. I have been providing individual, marriage, and family counseling/therapy since 2018. I am also a wife, mother, lifelong learner, artist, and business owner. I wear multiple hats as I pursue my life goals and work to make them a reality. This work is my passion. Working with clients and seeing the transformation that happens is a fulfilling and meaningful part of my life. I work with clients to clearly define what they want in their lives and then work step-by-step towards making that vision a reality through self-awareness, shifting perspectives, building skills, breaking down roadblocks, and focusing on the next step toward success.

I am a lifelong student; first completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, getting my certifications as a life coach, and then getting my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy/counseling. I am a Level 2 Certified Solution-focused Brief Couples Therapist and I have a certificate in Solution Focused Therapy and frequently attend trainings to hone my skills and be the best clinician I can be for my clients. I opened my own practice because it was important to me to be able to live my truth in my work as well as in my personal life and to have a good work/life balance.

I am passionate about social justice and actively work to be more self-aware, humble, and educated so that I can best support my minority clients, colleagues, and just people in general. I am an LGBTQIA+ Ally and a Social Justice Advocate. I was blessed to be invited to co-write a textbook chapter on social justice in the field of marriage and family therapy which was an amazing experience. Through my association with the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, I am working to remove barriers and increase systemic support for minority MFT students, interns, and associates. I believe it is my responsibility to address biases within myself as well as the systems I am a part of and to actively work to increase equality and justice for everyone, but especially for minority communities that have been denied it for so long.

I believe it is important to be aware of one’s privilege and how that privilege intersects with another person’s struggles, to create an open dialogue and humbly receive feedback about the impact you have on those around you, and to actively create space for those hard conversations. I believe that openness and compassion for others and ourselves are crucial to the healing of our country and our local communities.

I am just like many of you…

I know that it can be difficult to find a balance between everyone's needs and still find time to take care of yourself. I also know how hard it can be to step into the unknown to follow your dreams and live your truth. Starting Life Coach Round Rock was a leap into a new future and required me to rearrange the plan I had laid out for my life. It required me to put aside my fears and instead put that energy into making my business a success. I work with clients every day to find and build their inner strength to step into the unknown and build a different life; a better life. I believe in them, in you, the way I believe in myself.

A little about me…

I have been married for 23 years to my amazingly supportive husband and we have two children. I am also a printmaking and graphic design artist with a lovely body of work and experience teaching and demonstrating block and gelatin printing. I sell the artwork I create at local exhibitions and through my Etsy store, Therapy Inspired Design. I am building a career doing work that is important to me, being there for my kids, taking care of myself, and working hard to have a fulfilling and mutually supportive relationship with my spouse. Life isn’t easy but it is worth the struggle.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you. I can’t wait to hear yours.

Wishing you the best,
